GOAN PATRIOTS SHOULD WRITE TO CNN By Floriano Lobo, Goa Su-Raj Party

I  have written somewhat like what I wrote below, to CNN in readers comment's on its coverage of the present Crimean situation....

I suggest to every GOAN PATRIOT do the same to various "Mainstream Media" (MSM) entities such as  CNN so that they take note of the injustices done to GOA and force it upon the World's Conscience.

The Goa Su-Raj Party (GSRP) urges every Patriotic Goan, aggrieved with the invasion and occupation of Goa by India in 1961, the VETO exercised by the  erstwhile Soviet Union, now Russia, on the UN resolution that INDIA withdraw its troops from Goa, and that Goans be allowed a free REFERENDUM to determine their own destiny, should capitalize on the present Crimean crisis to agitate International fora, MSM, etc., for the Goan Cause and force it upon the World's Conscience.

Today, the entire world is blowing hot on Russia's actions in Crimea. Why? The same world, including the UN, went to sleep when it came to Goa's invasion, when both Portugal and India were the members of UN.

Even J.F. Kennedy, the then President of U.S.A., did nothing in this regard but only admonished Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru for being like a preacher who was caught leaving a brothel, with all his talks of non-violence. He even made himself unavailable to the UN citing illness of his father-in-law. If the UN and the world had cried hoarse then and saw that India vacated Goa with its troops until so that the said REFERENDUM was declared and executed, Goa could be a free nation altogether now, just like Timor L'este.

We Goans must ridicule the Western World, U.S.A , NATO and the UN for getting hypersensitive over Russia's actions in Crimea as a height of HYPOCRISY. Leave Russia alone to do what it wants. Why bark when you could not bite in 1961?
